ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Robert, I was just curious if you could put a timeline on how long it will take to get an h22 header dyno, and group buy underway?

I love Bisi's products and promote his stuff any chance I get, but would really appreciate an estimated timeline on those items.

Keep up the good work, and I hope to see Bisi in the 8's soon!

I thought the bisi header was hooked up to the stock exhaust when bisi dynoed it?

                      stay away from DC Sports.
Everyone I know has had cracked pipes.
Megan is an entirely great choice for this application.

So the Bisi one does hook up to the stock exhaust? Surely it didn't make 27 WHP through the stock exhaust. If it did sign me up...

it did make 27 WHP on a stock exhaust with a stock catalytic converter on a car with over 200,000 miles. sign yourself up.

Stock EVERYTHING other than the header. Exhaust, cat, intake, ECU... it wasn't even tuned. 27hp just by bolting the header on.

As for DC Sports... they're generally well made, but they're seriously overpriced for anyone that doesn't need a CARB exemption number. Megan Racing is of inferior quality, but the price is right. You could break 3 Megan headers for the price of one DC header, and the gains are about the same.
Regardless, any header other than the Bisimoto header won't really make any significant power. It should be added for looks, or to replace a damaged stock component (as a cheap header is often cheaper than new OEM parts). The only way to make any noticeable power at all with a cheap header is to replace the collector with something better/wider, such as a 2.5" collector from Burns Stainless. However, the collector itself costs about $100, and you'd need to weld it on... depending on who you know, that could also cost quite a bit. Once your $100 header turns into a $500 header, complete with sloppy welds and cheap metal... for a gain that's probably half of what the Bisimoto header will get you... you'll begin to wonder why you didn't shell out the money for the right thing the first time around!

If you want power from a header, there's really only one choice. Everything else is just pretty pipes.
If Explicit Speed Racing starts making F22 headers, they would be a good cheaper option. They'll probably hover around $500. Won't make Bisimoto power, but they'll be a hell of a lot better than any generic pipes from any other manufacturer. For the price, the ESP header would also be worth it.

Excellent answer, I won't get hasseled for PA emissions with the header?

Nobody is going to pull you over... but you may or may not pass an emissions test with it. Most modifications can cause a car not to pass emissions. You SHOULD pass as long as you retain your stock catalytic converter... but I'd be prepared to put your stock components back on to pass emissions, or find a shop that will ensure you pass regardless of mods (that's what I've always done... there's no way in hell my H22 would pass NJ emissions!)
