ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

If you don't understand nitrous, you shouldn't run it at all.

That's why I asked my fair share of questions before deciding to go on the bottle.

Why not just plumb a really cheap turbo setup? I'd rather do that then play around with nitrous.. the risk is not worth it in my books, such as being b usted with an open bottle, or burning down the car from a nitrous bottle fueling a big fire.

you can ruin your engine just as easily playing around with boost. if you dont know what your doing you dont want to play around with either.

A nitrous setup is much cheaper than a cheapo snail that can disintegrate and get sucked into the motor causing major havoc.

Don't street race with either and you don't have to worry about getting caught. The fines for getting caught with an open bottle will probably get thrown out in the face of the much more serious street racing offense.

Nitrous isn't flammable until it seperates under the right conditions. If it's adding to an existing fire you already have under the hood, you're screwed anyway.

That's the thing about nitrous... if you use it too much, it will be a danger to the manifold, and eventually cause your floorboard to drop out. That, and it really can't take a bullet.

you are partially right. Nitrous Oxide isnt flamable period, it is an oxidizer. if you add it to a fire with plenty of fuel, it will flare up due to the amount of oxygen being added to it. it does not, however, "separate" into a flamable gas under any conditions.

Bad wording on my part. I was trying to keep it simple. Nitrous does however, seperate into nitrogen and oxygen at about 565 degrees fahrenheit, making the highly combustible oxygen (which isn't exactly flammable, but will make a fire much worse, imagine flipping a lit match into an oxygen tent - BOOM)available for more power, and the nitrogen available to stabilize the "burn" from the oxygen.
