ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    True dual exhaust?

Has anyone done this? Hehe I;m just wondering... abd if anyone did do this would it have any performance gains? I know it'd look funky but i'm just sitting here wondering.

You realy don't need a dual exhaust unless you have a V6 or V8 (or maybe have turbo), You actually loose power with having a dual exhaust on a 4 cyl...

Unless your dual exhaust is made properly, you won't benefit. You'll actually do more harm than good, due to lack of back pressure, if memory serves me correctly

Like I said to, you will lose power, there are no gains...if done correctlly maybe.

Why is that relevant? The drive type means nothing. The timing technology means nothing. The fact that its not a family car means nothing.

It has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine that utilizes dual exhaust.

To get any gains out of a true dual exhaust for a cb, you would have to use smaller piping to counter the lack of back pressure. Also have to spend more time than anyone wants to figuring out where the piping should go. Really not worth it unless its a major part of a big build.

TRUTH. Personally I wouldn't bother, plus you'd have to hack the bumper up a bit to make another cutout, unless you used an aftermarket one but that's FTL. I've seen this done before on a CB, and it sounded like complete crap imo...sorry.

                        life is good.

That, and you have to hack the shit out of the trunk to accommodate the other muffler.

I would'ent even doit, loosing power plus it'll do only minor gains due to back pressure...for a stock motor, it aint worth it.

Make an exhaust for each exhaust port, that's thinking at it's best!
