ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    f22b1 swap poa ecu

well i have been lookin around on here for a while and havent found much out about my prob

ok did the swap and ecu repinned the ecu as said to and still nothing after 4k ?? so i do have a cel but cant figure out how to add a check piont to the ecu since my stock harness had none due to the led on the ecu

so i guess my question is what ecu pins on a poa is for the check connector for the jumper to test the cel???

oh yeah i ramble when i talk too with no punctuation

Try not rambling with no punctuation here. You're asking us to take our time to help you... show us enough respect by typing in a manner that is able to be understood.

The wiring should be there. Even though the 90 had the LED, the service connector should be present as well.

OBD1 P0A MIL (CEL) pin is A13, same as the stock ECU.

Thanks you guys. I did quite well in school, but i like James Joyce and ee cummings lol.
        :focus:
Ok, So, as far as the connector, I looked on the pass side where it should be. It was nowhere to be found.
Thanks the wire color and pin location should be of great assistance.
Again sorry if i seemed disrespectful.

We just get a lot of ignorant kids on here that type gibberish, and then follow with "sry i kno i suk at spellin lol"

If you have enough time to comment on the fact that your typing is hard to understand, you have enough time to go back and re-read it to make sure it can be understood. Otherwise, those that know things will ignore you, and those that help might give you bad information, because they don't understand what you're asking!

Anyway, I asked a friend of mine that had a 90, though he said it was a "later model"... basically, it wasn't one of the first models to roll off the line for the 1990 production year. I don't think it's likely, but it's POSSIBLE that there was a mid-year change. His car did indeed have the connector, though. It should be blue, though I've heard reports (never seen proof) of brown. Mine was wrapped in electrical tape, and hidden well.

Unfortunately, my car is a 92, with a hack-job shop-installed H22, and a modified P28 ECU... so I'm not sure if I'd be able to help with my car as a reference.

You know Alko, i dont think i have looked behind there. Thanks.
Deevergote, how do you like the p28? I am thinking about getting one but am unsure about getting the correct chip for my engine. The problem I'm having is i bought a 200 dollar car and installed a rebuild engine(i traded a stripped down 88 rx-7 for.) Most of the electrical connectors under the dizzy are brittle or broken. So i need to figure out what codes are thrown so i can fix the connectors

The P28 is chipped... so basically it's just a blank canvas.

You have the wrong idea about getting a chip, though. You don't "find the right chip". You have to have it tuned for your specific engine, or you run the risk of serious damage.

You don't need a P28, as it's really only needed when you have a VTEC engine. You can use a P06.

deev, he's running an F22B1, which is the single cam VTEC engine.

OP, I have a very good base map for the F22B1 if you ever deside to go with a P28. It will get you started and to the tuner of your choice.

Oh yeah, sorry... I got confused with another thread where the guy was asking about an F22A.

In that case, yes, the P28 is the ECU to use.
