Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

A/C cutting out when engine heats

    Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with my AC. Basically, it works fine, unless the engine heats up to much. Basically, when the car warms up with the AC on (and the fan kicks in) The car will idle really low, before cutting off the AC (in order to retain proper idle?). Any ideas what could be causing this?

What powers your A/C that's hooked to your engine?
    ..
    ..
    ..
    .compressor
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

when the a/c kicks on , you will have a lower idle . the compressor works on the belt system .think about it .power drainage is common.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

When's the last time she was tuned up, had an oil change and the AC was checked by a shop? It's possible that you have a combination of conditions causing abnormally low idle when the compressor kicks in and the computer may be shutting the AC off in order to keep the engine running and/or preserve the AC system. How low are the RPMS dropping when this happens? If you manually keep the revs a little higher with the gas pedal, will the AC kick back in and start working?

ok, car is serviced regularly. If you are cruising, this problem doesnt occur. The real issue is that it will cut out at traffic light etc whilst idling. Once you start cruising again ac will kick back in

Lol, something is wrong.....so, your first statement. " I'm having an issue with my AC. Basically, it works fine, unless the engine heats up to much".

The ECU won't energize the clutch relay if the car thinks its too warm. Demand for engine cooling trumps AC.
Also, if the car is idling really low before cutting off AC, you have bigger problems. The cars strategy to deal with AC is: You turn on A/C, the ECU enrichens the fuel misture for smooth transition, then fires then a/c compressor relay. You idle is also slightly higher with A/C on...not the other way around. Take the car to a mechanic for a full once over.

I did realise this, was being sarcastic, but yeah, might just have to take it to a mechanic
