ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Power locks

So my power locks work when they feel like it. I noticed that my driver's side lock get stuck and I cant push it down manually to lock, and when I use the power button, all but the drivers side locks. Any ideas? Should I just replace the whole control switch that operates the locks and windows?

mine work but even when i use the power all but the diver side go down i think its so you don't lock your keys in the car so you have to have the key and lock the drivers door from the outside

If you hold down the power lock button by the interior door handle all the locks will lock at once.

speaking of the locks working when they feel like it...I could unlock mine and 20 or 30 seconds later they would lock..I got my keys locked in my car a few times that way. I have since taken out the fuse and lock them manually. Any I dea as to why they would lock on thier own??

cb7fan91, that sounds like a remote unlock/alarm feature called safety auto relock. if you unlock with the remote but dont open a door, it assumes you hit the button by mistake and locks. if the door opens but the lights dont come on, the remote device wont detect the door open and assume the same. do the lights come on when you open the door? other doors? what kind of remote do u have?

If the door is open, that is your problem. Try locking it from the outside lock. It should lock all your doors at once.

Hey Steve, I do have a remote for it. It has a button to remote start it and another button for lock/unlock. I get what you are saying about the auto re lock but if I remember correctly when I would get out of my car and shut the door it would just lock itself..It has been a while since the last time I had the fuse in. So I guess I need to isolate the remote and see if it locks and go from there.

you got it bud, personally ive never heard of a door locking instantly when closed, but that sounds like a system that can quickly go wrong.

I have to lock all my doors and the hatch by hand..when I would push the button to lock them a few minutes later all of them would unlock themselves.

                        Driver’s door not locking

A trick I learned from my cousin is that if you pull the inside driver’s door handle and (while holding the handle) press the lock switch on the inside to lock them, they all will lock, opposed to the driver’s lock popping up again. It’s a handy trick so I don’t have to have my keys using the outside lock every time I leave my car.
