ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

FedEx....Grrrrrrr. Requiring signature for packages. Won't be able to install the parts until Friday. I am going to have to start remembering to ship packages to my office. I am there more than I am at home anyways. lol.

Man I hate when people do that....such a pain in the ass. Just drop it at the front door and be done with it.

Okay. Finally and update. Sorry for the delay. This is not a pleasant update. I installed the IACV and FITV and they look to be in perfect condition. No luck. I fear my rough idle is caused by other more serious problems. I have a burnt valve, severe carbon build up on the cylinder head, blown head gasket, and more than likely a warped head. I am burning oil at an alarming rate. I am two quarts low after an oil change only two weeks ago. Oil smoke in my exhaust. Backfiring. Trouble starting again. Running very rough. I am considering a head swap, replacement of all gaskets, fuel filter, timing belt, water pump, and a solid TB/IM cleaning. Probably should do the EGR ports while I am at it. This is going to be quite the adventure.

Side note: Any suggestions on the head swap? Would a head from a different engine fit and/or give me better performance?

Well damn dude, sorry to hear all that. Before you assume oil is being burned on the top side of the engine, do a leak down test to make sure the rings are OK. I would also do a compression test to see where things stand. If it truly is that bad, I'd consider a good used engine that has been tested so you know everything works.

Or, now would be a good time to do an H swap!!

Indeed that would be ideal. However, I am on a very fixed budget. I can't even afford to do the work that needs to be done as of right now. Just gonna hold out until things pick back up. Hopefully my baby will hang in there with me.

As a bandaid you could try a GOOD quality sealer for your block, not the cheap $3 or $4 crap, spend a good amount on it, they work. But if your burning oil you got some issues, I would put a bottle of sealer in the block and run a can or 2 of Seafoam thru the engine and the crankcase, should set you back about $35.
