ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

cheap ebay hid lights flickering. what kind of hids are u using?

hi, i bought a pair of hid low beam ligth for my accord. they were about 50 or 40 bucks. they starter flickering almost immediatley after installation. at first i thought that it was temporary and soon they would stable up. wrong!. its the kind that use ballasts and connect to your stock bulb harness.

The only ballast that I trust that plugs into your harness is the ones from www.retrosolutionsllc.com . They have the night vision ones and tell you the amperage. Its very low and been hooked up that way to my dads car for a long time.

I use relays in my other cars, but when im lazy I just buy their night visions lol.

But flickering can be a power issue. Hook the ballast directly to the battery, see if it still flickers. If not then you need a relay setup.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

    Retro!

Is there a quality difference in the digital vs night vision digital?

Im going to be replacing my HID's soon, and was going to ask around for some input. Whats considered the best on the market these days?

Where would you hook the relay up to? Which side. I no nothing about wiring but I want to learn more. Especially using relays and connecting them up properly. Like for fogs.

Maybe its time to create a positive post up front. Never know when you may need it.

I mean plug it in directly to the battery and see if it shuts down. Just to determine its not a ballast issue.

i have the same problem in my other car. i think they are just cheap HID's. the brand of mine are xenon. you cant tell its flickering while driving but when you pull up to a house or back of a car its pretty noticeable
