ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

thanks for the info the car is mostly stock it has a cat back exhaust which will probably disappear when i fully commit to the project but my vision is to lower it a few inches, repaint it (the stock color), and get a nice aggressive sounding exhaust, and see what kinda of performance i can get out of it while still keeping it a reliable DD. but like i said im new to these cars but ive seen some really clean ones riding around, but on the other hand have seen some held together buy duct tape (ashame)

This should help you get started for a novice, like a real cb7tuner, not like a ricer. Try to understand your car before you "adjust" the performance.

I would go with the standard I/H/E then upgrade the ignition. My last CB7 was a 92 EX with the F22A6. I bought a cheap eBay short ram intake, Megan Header, gutted my Cat,a Megan cat-back, the MSD SCI box, Blaster SS Coil, NGK iridium plugs, NGK wires, and an MSD extreme cap and rotor. I noticed significant top end gains due to the ignition providing a nice strong spark into the higher RPMs. The ignition system is often overlooked. It's upgrades that can complement whichever build you plan on going later on if any (FI, NA, NO2). Just my two cents tho.

The stock ignition system is good for over 500hp. Any gains felt with ignition upgrades were in your head.

So you're saying the stock ignition produces the same spark at 6000 RPMs that is does at 2000 RPMs? I find that hard to believe. The engine spinning at 3x the rate doesn't have nearly enough time to produce the same spark.
