ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Take a week off. I'm sick of this shit.Originally posted by ThePhoenix82 View Post
You can datalog from a modified ECU, I know that. I don't know if a stock ECU is equipped to do it, though I've never checked. I have a Moates Hulog that will let me plug my chipped P28 into a USB port to work with various datalogging software.

Alright all that moates hulog does is send the signal, correct? I was looking online and I saw some schimatics to make your own, but it all involed GM. The two pin connector on our cars, what are the wires? Is one a signal and one a ground, or is it power and ground?1991 Honda Accord 2DR LX 180,000 Miles RIP

all right. Really the only reason why I wanted to use a datastream was to check for a missfire. Because I have tried pretty much everything and still cant get it resolved.
If anyone wants to shoot ideas I appreciate it. What I've done is changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, cleaned fitv and iacv. Changed coolant. Really everything I could think of. It is worst at idle with accesories on. When I rev it up just a little bit the miss subsides. The car shakes so bad at idle it shakes the steering wheel.1991 Honda Accord 2DR LX 180,000 Miles RIP

Try doing a compression test....
If you pull out your new spark plugs what do they look like?
Tan, White or black dry or wet?
Spark plugs can tell you a lot about the health of an engines combustion process. Even if they have only been in there for a day. Some drag racers read and install new plugs after each run. They can usually diagnose any fuel or timing issues from them.

Plugs are already grounded, and motor oil is not the best conductor of electricity anyway. If the oil was on the firing tips. I would say that is your issue.
I would try a compression test and maybe a leak down test if you haven't already done one.
Also, have you ever tested the resistance of your ignition coil? Don't just replace it, test it first.Last edited by GhostAccord; 03-13-2012, 09:26 PM.

Also, be sure the plugs are installed properly, and your threads aren't damaged. My engine started knocking terribly one day, and it was due to the #1 plug getting pushed up in the hole. The threads in my head are damaged (my own stupid fault... overtorqued trying to "index" the plugs) and it allowed the plug to be pushed out.
If you have oil in your threads, you may have caked-on gunk preventing your plug from being screwed all the way down. That would cause an issue, no doubt.
That's REALLY reaching. The suggestions above are more likely... but given my own experience, I figured I'd mention it.

Yes it is possible to datastream/datalog from obd1 ecu's. Now if you have a stock f22ax, running a pt3/pt6, your best bet would be either:Originally posted by curtie94 View PostHi im just curious if it is possible to datastream from a obd1 ecu to a pc. I want to see how my car runs on paper.
Doctronic's HondaComm (doctronic.at)
Or maybe aquiring a Hondalog/Hulog and trying the stock datalogger routine in Freelog. (one of my friends is trying to figure this out, but has had no success)
