ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Brake Issues

Today my cb7 started to have brake problems. When I pulled into my parking spot and the pedal sunk right to the floor but did stop the car. I checked brake fluid and it is right up to the max line. When the car is off the pedal is stiff like it should so its not the master cylinder, is it? If I back the car up the pedal is firm but after I drive a little it starts to sink again, only when stopped.

What can cause this, it has new front calipers.

Ok my wrong the pedal does sink when the car is off. Well it sinks once in a while, sometimes it holds pressure and others it sinks right to the floor.

Any way it could be the brake booster or the vacuum line going into the booster. When I press and hold the brakes the car seems to miss. The whole car vibrates and shakes.

Ok at school we bled the master cylinder and it was good for a couple days, but now it is doing the same thing, so I bled the cylinder again and it feels good once more, is this is sign of the master cylinder going out.

Yes - The master is bypassing, just replace it.

Since the thread is already labeled brake issues...
                I HAVE ONE!!!

When i'm going 45mph or faster and hit the brake, it stops and slows fine, but it feels like the pedal is steadily punching my foot "BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP" there is no sound, oyu can only feel it if your foot is on the pedal. It does not shake the car or anything, and is not the wheels/tire. Does anybody know what it might be?

I need new pads soonish, so i figuerd i would try replacing the rotors too.

Oh, and they get REALLY hot. I can barely touch the rim when i'm done driving casually. Thats how hot they get.

You should really make your own thread as altough yours is a brake issue also, the actual problem is totally different.

However - Replacing your rotors and pads will fix the problem.

Just to let you know that when the rim gets that hot the calipers are also a culprit. I had my calipers freeze and just from driving to the store the rim was hot.
