ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Why make the thread if you haven't even checked the codes? The code will tell you what's wrong. It could be the shift solenoids, or it could be about 30 other things. Without those codes, we can't do anything but blindly guess like your buddy did.

You don't need a scanner, you can check the codes yourself by jumping the connector underneath your glovebox.

You don't need a scanner. You need a paperclip.

The thread at the top of this section that says "read here first" tells you how to read and interpret the codes. Had you actually read it first, you'd know that. We put those things there for a reason. Believe it or not, after 10 years of existence, the folks that keep this site going have identified most of the common problems, and provided the solutions to them in convenient, easy-to-read threads stuck at the top of their applicable sections.

omg! I now see the frustration you go through with these posts Deev. I have only been on this site about 5 years and this question has been answered, made into a DIY and the codes readily available. Not sure what was lost in the crash of '11. But seriously member 713_JDM_CB7...if you have a car, why didn't you invest $15 and buy a repair manual? Yes this is a site with guys that would know, but they want to better their rides, not answer the same questions over and over again. If you truly say "Hey I did a search and looked everywhere...can you help me with ....." Someone will help I am sure.
And Deev kids you not....it's a paper clip that will solve the mystery, Search will tell you about the culprit.

You just need to change the color of the links for the stickies, so they "pop" more, maybe gold (as everything in them is gold), or another bright color, and I bet more people would "see it", which means they would be more likely to read it.
