ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    f22a supercharger

Does anyone make a supercharger for these cars? And if so how much power can a stock f22a handle?

No, no one makes a SC for an F22xx.

      Hey OP...

Excuse my friend dj_ender...but he's right...

Now before this thread gets closed and someone ends up telling you to search...

I got one good question, why supercharger? Why not turbo?

...and this been covered before plenty of times...search it up and you'll find even though its a supercharger its still possible with someone that has money to blow.

I wonder if we could add this to the rules.... THERE IS NO SC FOR A F22xx. But what's the use, no one will read it.

          Exactly.

There are no specific kits for the F22A, but you could make a custom setup with any of the popular supercharger designs.

In the future, please search. You can't possibly believe that in nearly 9 years of existence, nobody has ever asked about a supercharger on this forum before.

Kinda off topic but I was craiglist'n the other day and I say a Garrett electric "turbo" with claims of 6psi... Now I know the ones sold on ebay are junk but I was not aware garrett made electric style. Anybody ever look into these? Or is it just something somebody fitted a Garrett housing onto?

Probably something custom... an electric motor driving the compressor side of a Garrett turbo.

www.Boosthead.com has the only legit electric supercharger I'm aware of, and it functions more like a nitrous system than a full-time supercharger. I kinda want one...

The f22a6 manifold uses the same iab plate as the h22 so in theory the Ac for a prelude could work

except the charger pulley is less than an inch away from the master cylinder....

And it doesn't bolt to the stock lower half of the intake manifold. The JSRC comes with a custom manifold all the way down to the head.

I would have to disagree, the JRSC bolts to the lower part of the intake manifold. http://www.preludepower.com/forums/s...d.php?t=350861. I have researched on prelude forums. The problem with putting this in a cb is the belts don't clear the driverside shock tower. A company use to make an adapter for the belts to clear the shock tower but discontinued making them.

Actually it looks like it comes with it's own H22 based bottom half.

Or is that a stock H22 lower manifold that is mounted to?

^ That guy lives in my town, I can't wait to see that thing finished... if he ever does, with all his constant revisions.

Master cylinder clearance is easy to solve with a compact unit from I think Wilwood. Having a custom pulley bracket made to route the belt around the shock tower is nothing. It's supposedly the EX brake booster that's ever so slightly too big. But as there is absolutely no documentation aside from three pictures of that Canadian's build (which, by the way, cleared the stock MC, if only just), everything you hear should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm considering when I go to swap to a coupe of just taking out a small loan, maybe I'll get a bit more and hunt down a JRSC for test fitting.

I've got a pic of a roots supercharger on I think an F22B, I'll have to dig it out. I would imagine it would be easy enough to have a plate fabbed up to mate a roots blower - what is it, an M45? - to an F22A's [ed. - sorry, runners, not plenum] by taking cue from the H22 kit.

M45 is a bit small. 2.2L is about the M45's maximum. M62 would be better if you want to see real gains. The M45 is abundant and cheap, though. I have one.
