ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Oil Light Flickering

I am new here....and I am also new to CB7's lol I always owned Civics... anyway, I bought my CB7 about a good two months ago, and I have replaced quite a few things. My issue is now I have an oil light that only flickers every so often, I am only a quart low, and i just replaced my oil pressure sending unit. Could someone PLEASE help me out?

Put a quart of oil in it then comeback if the issue continues.

Next time could you please title your thread properly otherwise it will be deleted.

Refill your oil to the correct level and recheck it.

A quart low from what level? From maximum level? or From minimum level?
Are you in normal operating temp when the light flickers?
At what RPM does it occur?

If flickering occurs with oil level above minimum level on dip stick, when hot and when rpm is at idle, I would change oil to higher viscosity oil.

Use the dipstick to check. Add a quart. If the level is still a little low, add a little more oil until the level is between the two dots on the dipstick.

a higher viscosity would put more stress on the engine if im not mistaken. just use the proper grade

this can be the oil pump, if the level of oil is good, this look like you miss some pressure... check carefully for leak

Thanks for all the responses....it seems as if the issue has been resolved....my oli level was low, plus Yes, I am due for an oil change...no oil leaks visible at the moment, but...the next question is, what viscosity wouls be good for the F22A6 with over 200k miles?

If it's not burning oil, I'd say 10W-30 should do you just fine depending on how the motor has been maintained. @ 200K, you want something with a little thickness.
