ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Front end squeak over bumps..

What are some common reasons for distinct squeaking sound in the front end of my suspension when driving over speed bumps or uneven pavement? The suspension is fairly new, shocks and struts are good. The bushings are likely worn, since I'm not aware of them ever having been replaced. But I'm curious if it could be the front wheel bearings. Could this be a possibility? Or should I focus on replacing the bushings? I've heard that busted wheel bearings can create a squishy squeaking sound when going over uneven ground, but I can't remember - maybe I'm mistaken.. And this is only in the front. The rear doesn't make nearly as much noise.

Forgive my ignorance with this.. I've never dealt with the bearings on this car and am not sure how to inspect.

It's likely a bushing in the upper control arm anchor bolts. Just get under there and check for yourself otherwise this is just going to be a bunch of random guessing.

I know that happen to me before... Even when I would push down on my front fender it would do it sometimes... Come to find out it was my lower ball joint... So I would check them out

you could also try lubricating your sway bar bushings.

there are lots of things that can squeak in the front end....

OP, the wheel bearing will cause a roaring sound like a a 4x4 with big mud tires on it. Energy suspension make a damn fine master bushing kit for our cb's . I would look into the kit and eliminate all the possibilities in one whack.

Lube all moving points and look for wear and tear where it shouldn't be.

Hit up all grease zerks! never trust a lube shop to lube your chassis, even though they charge for it!

How many zerk fittings can you find on Accords? And where?

I haven't serviced my accord there yet, but my integra had them on the ball joints and some of the a arm joints.

I've lifted my LX dozens of times for one reason or other. I've never paid attention to locate zerk fittings. I should do that when I get the car back from my better half.

My car was doing the same thing. I ended up going to Autozone and ordering new endlinks Energy Bushings and Front swaybar bushings. The Squeaks stopped ones I replaced them.

There is no sure way to predict when the bearing will go completely out .It can get very ugly when it does.Have it replaced as soon as possible.

mine does the same. I have been told it's the sway bar bushings from people riding in my car, reading it here, also directs to bushings, however where did this lower ball joint comment come from? is this confirmed..

Mine makes a creaking noise, i feel it in my pedal and as hear it ( my passengers hear it aswell)

I bet it's the sway bar links. I changed mine and the creaking went away. One of them didn't have any rubber left. I would check those out first, they are pretty easy to change out, might just need a buddy and some beer. LOL.
