ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Video on how to replace front upper control arm

I replaced mine, and took a video to show the simplicity, rather than taking it to a shop and paying way more than necessary. I hope it inspires some one to take a look at their ball joints to keep the road safe.

I'm not sure if I've known anybody that owns an Accord that takes their shit into a shop to replace the upper control arm... Its one of the more easy things to fix on a CB.

You don't have to know anybody personally, you are on a site dedicated to people who own CB's...

I'm not dogging your video. Its good, I'm sure it'll help somebody. I'm just saying, replacing uca's is like changing your oil really... Its that easy.

Yes, they are extremely easy to replace, so I wanted to show just how simple it was so that others that didn't know wouldn't be afraid to fix them.
              Thanks!

Where do you recommend to get the upper control arm from? I need to change my front driver side.

                    I bought mine from AutoZone.
                    It was 56 bucks.
I bet Ebay is probably cheaper on the pocket book though, I "just wanted it meow".

The autozone ones look decent with a good warranty. I don't trust that ebay stuff for something integral like that.

depending on how fast you want it but i typically give my business to TAS or Rockauto because i can wait a few days to avoid paying sales tax. Now that i deliver car parts for Parts Plus, i'll probably be getting my parts all from them with the exception fluids.

Just to chime in, eBay UCA's failed on me last week with around 1000 miles from Midwest Auto seller on eBay. It has been a hassle to get them to replace on a warranty. I just kept their garbage UCAs and went to AutoZone, they had both in stock and I have yet to have the same problems, but if/when I do all I have to do is walk into Autozone with the bad parts for a free replacement. No dicking around with eBay claims or conversations via email and shipping charges with %15 restocking fee ... if they accept your return...

What exactly failed on them? I was actually planning on buying Midwest's complete front kit that includes the UCAs. Thanks in advance.

I'll post a picture, the ball joints litterally came right out of the UCA. Save yourself the heartache, for a few bucks more you have local lifetime warranty.
