ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Relocating cruise control from steering wheel?

I was thinking about replacing my stock steering wheel with an aftermarket style, and I see all the adaptors and such available. However I was wondering how to relocate the cruise control functions from the old wheel to a new location. Anyone ever tried this?

    Thanks in advance.

I guess that's the sacrifice you got to make if you put a non OEM steering wheel on it

Maybe someone can answer your question better but that's my 2 sents.

i'm currently working on this same issue, i just have to get my ass in gear and get it figured....

iirc, once you take apart your steering wheel and get the cruise control buttons off, they should have a plug on the end. look at the different colored wires and find the same colored ones on the inside of the steering column, and if you reroute/connect the wires, theoretically it should work. if i am wrong will someone please correct me?

It would be easier to reroute the wires from the cruise control module, then you don't need to even mess with the column or clock spring.

          Look below for color codes:

I have seen this done before on an Acura 1.6. You have to remove the cruise control unit from the wheel (casing also) and remove wiring without cutting from the main harness bundle. On the bottom left side of the dash (if ur willing to cut the dash) you can relocate it there. If done proper it will basically look stock and easy to use. Hope this idea helps.
