ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It is still happening.. brake pads still have another 10,000 miles on them ...

the setup I have is 93 LX front calibers/disc that came with my cb7 and 92 ex caliber/disc swap

Half of the time I have to pull on my Ebrake because I'm not stopping fast enough

Either there's air in the system or you are driving too fast.

maybe you should un break your brakes? lol

does the pedal feel spongy or soft? does it go all the way to the floor? it should be high and firm and your 91 doesn't have ABS so slamming the pedal would cause the car to lock up the brakes and it would skid, best way to slow down faster is rapidly pump them... push down and when you feel the car start to skid let up and reapply and repeat

isn't there a difference in the prop valve also? i swore that a lot of people who convert their rear drums to discs also swap the 40/40 prop valve from an Integra.

well if it is spongy at fist and then falls to the floor you have a leaking seal in your master cylinder... if you have already replaced it and it is still happening its because your brake booster probably needs to be replaced and it is sucking the fluid out of the master and burning it in the engine... pull the vacuum line off the booster and if there is fluid in the line that's your problem, you'll need to replace it and also the master cylinder it just ruined... hope that helps

ok i just check the brake booster vacuum line like Nyne521 stated and the line has no fluids or any sign of liquid so is not the brake booster

What pads are you using? What rotors? Have the rotors been resurfaced or replaced with the last pad install?
When you did the rear disc install, did you use a 40/40 prop valve, or did you just bolt up the new brakes? The proportioning is not going to be correct if that's all you did.

If you're racing this car on the track, or driving like a dumbass on the street, then it's entirely possible that you've glazed your rotors and pads. Or that you simply overheat street pads beyond their abilities, causing severe brake fade.

OR your expectations of this vehicle are too high. The braking system is designed for casual street driving, not racing. You can't drive it like a Lotus and expect it to hold up.

Please actually ANSWER the questions people are asking you if you want help. We can't help you with the limited information you have given.

yes the rotor are stock and resurface when i god no pads, i have ceramic pads, no i didn't use the 40/40 prob valve, and no I'm not driving like a dumbass on the street (idk if you ever been to florida but people down here can't drive for shit) I race my cb7 every once in a blue moon at the local track rather than the streets as i stated on the first post, and I have been answering everyones question the only i haven't answers is wildBill83 which i goin to do next btw

What order did you bleed the lines? Can you give us full details of EXACTLY what you did and was the problem there before your brake job?
