ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    93 Honda se brakes

I went to junk and found an 98 Acura cl and removed both knuckles complete with brakes I know that the hubs will work on my car but can I just bolt the whole assembly in without swapping the parts on to my spindle?

No, did you even look at the brake swaps threads? How are you going to get the LBJ into the LCA?

I thought I read that I could swap the whole assembly. So basically now I need to remove the hub and bearings and swap on my knuckle can I also used the brake caliper and bracket or do I need anything different?

I read threads I'm just a little confused!

You need the accord bearing the CL hub, rotor, bracket, and caliper.

I believe swapping that much of the assembly, if it could even bolt up, would significantly change the suspension geometry. Your wheels would likely be poking out like crazy.

The CL LBJ is larger than the hole in the LCA on the accord, so no dice.

LOL, they sell a ball joint reaming tool that would be safer and easier. But yeah I believe the knuckle itself is shorter than a CB7 knuckle.

The knuckles will work just fine in the CB suspension. You didn't specify whether or not you got the knuckles from a 2.2CL, 2.3CL or 3.0CL. I'm assuming at least not the 2.2CL or the '97 3.0CL because your second post alludes to this being done to achieve an ROH setup.

If you got '98-'99 2.3CL knuckles then all you've achieved is an ROH-style hub and you've wasted your money on the calipers and caliper brackets.

If you got '98-'99 3.0CL front knuckles then you've achieved ROH-style hubs, 11.1" rotors and larger single-piston calipers. You've also gotten a larger diameter bearing that should be more reliable than the factory one because it was designed to support the weight of the V6. It's also used in the Odyssey.

                  Enjoy.

Bill, reread that e-mail I sent you a while back about knuckles.

EDIT* I see that you wrote '98 so disregard my confusion.

EDIT #2* Please read the sticky about titling threads properly. What does this thread have to do with '93 SE brakes? You're mostly asking about knuckles. Please be more clear in the future because this forum also works as a means for people to search the content and it does them no good to have a thread titled "93 Honda se brakes".

EDIT #3* In the interest of fun facts, if you have a '93 SE coupe then you actually do have something in common with vehicles equipped with the larger calipers in that you have a 1" diameter Nissin master cylinder from the factory. You're welcome.

Yes everything in here is incorrect

97-99 acura CL knuckles bolt right into a cb7

They will give you extra negative camber though.

Acura CL knuckle on top accord knuckle on bottom

99 acura 3.0cl knuckle bolted up

Dual piston calipers to complete everything.

OP, sorry for providing incorrect info.

                      Will do Jarrett.

Tippey, does that mean Odyssey knuckles are the exact same as 98 3.0 CL? Is the negative camber from the upper ball joint offset? I assumed they were shorter not offset. No mods to lower ball joint and the hub splines are the same? Can you measure the amount of negative camber it gives?

I have no clue about the odyssey knuckle since i've never used it

I can't really measure the amount of negative camber it gives since my car is also lowered.

It does give enough to cause obnoxious tire wear which is why i'm going to go get cb7 knuckles again and swap the hub/bearing and shit back into them.

Sorry for posting the the wrong way, I'm new to the forum and still learning.

So now I guess the best thing to do is remove the hub and bearing from the 98 Acura cl 2.3 knuckle and swap it to my Honda knuckle. I can still use the Acura brake rotor, caliper, and pads on my Honda.

Thank you to everyone that is helping me!!!

You can use the calipers and brackets but if I were you I'd return them to the junkyard for a refund. They're not an upgrade over what you currently have. And as it sits right now you could do the work without having to open up the brake system.

I'm willing to bet OP went to crazyrays and they don't have a refund policy

                              Heres a question i have

Are the 98/99 acura CL bearings the same as the accord?

Would the bearings be able to be installed straight into an accord knuckle or would you need to install the CL hub into accord bearing?

And OP i'm local if you ever need any help with shit.
