    ABS Light Question

My ABS light comes on after about 1/10th of a mile of driving. Every time I turn the ignition off, it resets. It is not on when I first start it, just when I start rolling. I am almost for sure it is a wheel speed sensor (I have a 93 EX). I have tried bridging the plug, but the ABS light does not blink. I think this is because it doesn't trigger the error until I have been rolling, so it thinks I have no error when I just turn it to accessory. I just wanted to get a second opinion on the issue.

    Thanks.

From my expirience with honda's it's almost always the speed sensor.

If you can't read the error just clean all four sensors it aint much work, you can even try just taking a compressor and blow them out abit on the car (saved me time to take them off a milion times)

I have the same issue with my 1991 SE. I didn't replace the speed sensor because my "S" light didn't come on anymore after changing the trans fluid. Please let me know if you fix the ABS light so I can do the same. That light is starting to annoy me.

        ABS codes are here.

Sounds like you've got 0-0 code.

Cleaning the ABS sensors has never worked for me.

did you replace an axle if so there is a ring on the end of them if you dont have an abs ring it will do this that happened to me when i replaced mine all you have to do is take the ring off the old one and put it on the new one i did this to mine and my abs light went off.

This is exacty what happened to me, I currently have the light on because I don't have an "EX" axle with the abs ring

I haven't changed the axle myself. I might contact the previous owner to see. As for the 0-0 code, I think that is referring to the bulb check when you turn the ignition on. The light does indeed come on when I turn the ignition on, but goes back off as all the other lights do when I start it. It then comes back on when I begin to roll. I am pretty certain that it is the wheel speed sensors. Planned on trying to clean them next weekend, but now I have a broken odometer to deal with... Hopefully sometime I can find time to clean them, but the odometer is more important right now.

Will way too much brake fluid in the ABS reservoir cause the light to go on? It is topped off to the lid and the "max" indicator is about in the middle of the reservoir... Just wondering.
                Thanks.

                  Thanks.
Had the same problem but on a CD5. We removed some of the fluid and bled the system.(You have to look up the proper sequence for a CB7). We then reset the code and the problem was gone.

Do you have to bleed the brakes? Why can't you just take some out of the top of the reservoir?

                      0-0 code is No code.
If the control unit is faulty, it can't diagnose itself, and therefore gives a blank code - Light on, but no code stored.

No, too much fluid won't cause the light to come ON.

No you don't have to bleed the brakes, The ABS is independent of the main brake lines.

As Geoff said, I've never seen cleaning wheel sensors fix a code.
However, this likely isn't the issue due to the fact you have no codes.

Alright, thanks man. I tried to pull a code again earlier today and it finally gave me one. I believe it is code 1-0. I have done some research on this code. I might get around to fixing it sometime, but I really hate that bright ass light on the dash!

Thanks man. I found that fix when I was doing my research, but I'm not sure how to "bleed all four brakes" at the end after putting it back in the car. Anyone done it? Is it hard?

I have the same light problem Ster56 had, as far when it came on. I never thought of checking the relay but I did today and discovered this...

So is this maybe why my light is coming on? I'm not getting any codes either, just a solid ABS light.
