My plan is to have 2.25" piping but what I want to know will a Megan header with 2" out let fit and Remus style muffler with 2.5" inlet. I would like all to be 2.25" inlet and outlet but I am not seeing 2.25" for header or muffler for sale. Keep in mind I am having a professional for installation so I know it won't bolt on correctly but with these sizes in mind will I be paying more than what it is worth or know where I can get 2.25" of the items listed?

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I got a headache reading your post...
Why don't you get a full cat-back with Megan header-test pipe direct bolt on?
Seems you be spending the same amount if you wanted to weld a complete 2.5" piping with a muffler plus a catalytic converter.
If your stock OEM header down pipe ain't already welded to you exhaust pipe then it should be a direct bolt on. Though muffler will need to be welded.

For a 2.25" header outlet, you'll need to have a new collector welded on. Burns Stainless makes awesome stuff for that... but it's not cheap. The 2.5" inlet on the muffler won't be a huge deal. Smaller needs to be corrected, as an exhaust can only flow as well as the greatest restriction allows... but having the piping flange from 2.25" to 2.5" at the muffler won't hurt anything.

I am not looking for cheap but not expensive. Do you know of any headers with the larger collecter. I am choosing Megan because from what I have read on here is do not buy no name header and Megan is the only non-outragously priced I have found. If you feel as if the no brand units are not too bad, tell me, I am making a huge list of stuff to get after I pay off other debts. My goal is K24 power and torque so the Bisi unit costs too much to justify the end goal.Be unique, like every other person.

Did I stutter?
Also, Megan is just cheap "ebay" stuff... just the better end of it. Really though, unless you go Bisimoto, you're not going to get much of a variation in performance between the cheap headers and the more expensive ones. The only difference is build quality. Megan and OBX are the best of the cheap shit. DC Sports is probably the best in terms of quality, but the gains will be about the same.

I'm assuming you mean the K24A2 or the K24Z3. If that's the case, a Bisimoto header DOES justify the end goal.Originally posted by XCRN View PostMy goal is K24 power and torque so the Bisi unit costs too much to justify the end goal.
I suggest you take a look at this thread and see what kind of money and quality of parts it takes to make 200whp with an N/A F22A.'94 JDM H22A: 178whp 146wtq

Actualy K24A1. Im not saying 200hp is too much for me, it is too much for practicality. I have seen a lot of the top 10, and my plans do revolve around some of thoes entries. Plan is 2004 Accord power at the end and suspension overhaul. Right now I have a list of what needs to be done, but not the small details, I am here for that.Be unique, like every other person.

To nit pick the details, a 2004 Accord is only 160hp at the crank, and many of those F22 builds have surpassed that based upon their hp measured at the wheel. I don't think a $1200 header is warranted for such modest goals.Originally posted by XCRN View PostActualy K24A1. Im not saying 200hp is too much for me, it is too much for practicality. If your bottom end is in good shape, why not refresh the head, mill it to bring the compression up, swap to an H23 IM with a spacer, bored H23 TB, and an off the shelf cam? With a cheapo header, 2.5" collector mod, decent exhaust, cam gear and proper tuning, that should easily put you at least over the 150whp mark which ultimately surpasses your goals.

I thought that the Bisimoto header was flawed with leaking issues.
This member went on for months about how he hated it. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=197640 Is this an exaggeration? Is the design revised now or what?
Thats odd. The 90 accord I just bought about a week go had a horrible leaking flexpipe. So I bought the Megan racing header off ebay and it fit perfect. It bolted to the cat perfect too. Thats the first mod I have done so far and I like it so far.Originally posted by CBBeno1 View PostStay away from megan headers as I bought one and it didnt fit
(Bolt holes didnt line up on the downpipe / cat). Also had a hell
of a hard time trying to return it and they will take their lil sweet time
getting a simple refund. I know Im still waiting......
But now this thing about the Bisimoto header has me second guessing my purchase. If it doesn't leak then I would have saved up a few paychecks and bought it.

I cannot exaggerate or make up false claim about the product in public. I will be facing possible a lawsuit if I did that. Also, I cannot fake photos. My experience is all true facts.
Good luck with your purchase if you go that route.A&P-IA

I read the thread and seen that it was all real and no lies. I said exaggerate by the size of the problem not your situation or evidence. I meant it as in like as in how bad it leaks. I don't want an leak at all but I would like the power that the header gives.Originally posted by oyajicool View Post"This member" is me, and the word "hate" is not accurate description of my feeling toward the header.

I don't know if I will go that direction or not but I appreciate you wishing me luck.
If they are made different now than yours is then Id really look at buying one.

Just ordered a ebay header/flex pipe, and a Yonaka 60mm (2.25) exhaust all for $300. Cant beat bang for buck there.
Also helps to whack the smallish outlet off of the collectors on these cheap headers and weld in a larger pipe to match the exhaust diameter better. Not terribly hard but they are usually some sort of stainless, thin.
