ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

can't keep my car running. checked codes already. please help

I drive a 92 accord ex and iv checked the cel codes and I get 1 15 43. My car normally starts and runs for a minute and will just die. It doesn't run rough at all just dies and when it does the cel light oil light and battery light stay on and when I try to start it again it just cranks. Turn the key off and on a couple times and crank it will eventually start back up but then die out again. So I'm getting the ignition output signal code and I don't know what I need to check or where to start if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Just had my second daughter 2 days ago and I need my car.

Just for reference the head on the engine was rebuilt last year and ignition coil, wires, distributor were all replaced after my timing belt broke. What could be left? But like I said the engine runs great when running this problem just started and last time it did this I finally got it running and drove 100+ miles with no problems. Just happens on first startup so far.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Don't know if I forgot anything but I can answer questions you have.

first fined out what up with you're fuel supply . if you're getting fuel pressure there is a link to that in my sig. also address you're o2 sensor as that is more then likely a small part or you're problem .

43 USUALLY points to an o2 sensor problem. 1 backs that assumption up (why they say "oxygen sensor #1" I'll never know... we only have one!)
However, I have seen it be indicating an actual fuel supply error. Check your fuel pressure at the rail. If it's good, then assume both 1 and 43 to be o2 sensor codes.

Check your o2 sensor wiring. If all is in good condition, replace the o2 sensor with either a Denso or an NTK unit. NO BOSCH. They don't work.

Code 15 suggests an issue with the distributor or the ignition coil. Just because you replaced the distributor doesn't mean it can't be bad. Sometimes those things are bad right out of the box!

I would also check your wiring especially important grounds.

I had a ecu ground pull out on me and gave me the same problems
