ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144

No my car doesn't speed up. Light my dim for a second when I start it but then picks up. Like I know a/c draws power but not to this extent. Thanks man for the inputOriginally posted by Raf99 View PostWhile accelerating if you turn the A/C off does the car speed up right away?

If you are saying turning the AC on causes this symptom how do you fix the problem if turning the AC off doesn't make the problem go away?Originally posted by Truballer328 View PostNo my car doesn't speed up. This. It takes like a second for the A/C clutch to disengage. You should feel a return of power, if not, you may have other issues.Originally posted by Raf99 View PostIf you are saying turning the AC on causes this symptom how do you fix the problem if turning the AC off doesn't make the problem go away?
A tune up consists of:
Spark plugs
Cap
Rotor
Fuel Filter
Fluid top off
That's it for the most part.

Oh yea it drives fine when a/c is off. Thought u meant as I was driving and turn it off. The problem consist of initial acceleration. No acceleration problem when a/c is off. Problem acceleration when a/c is ON. Hence title.
Sonikaccord- I have done sparks, fluid top off.
I haven't done cap(distributor cap?)
Rotor?
And haven't done fuel filter....
Any ideas?

Yea a/c works pretty good, freezes me. Lol but yea, it's at initial acceleration where it doesn't want to take off. But was I'm driving it goes through and drives fine. Any ideas, what do you mean by unit? What unit exactly? CompressorOriginally posted by Raf99 View PostI did mean when you were driving and turn it off. We all know that the A/C steals HP from a vehicle due to the extra power required to operate the unit. So it sounds like your unit is faulty, sticking, etc., which is dragging things down.
Does your A/C work?

Tighten your alternator belt, or if it is good and tight check the belt itself.. My belt was worn beyond proper use - I finally replaced it due to excessive squealing practically all the time.Originally posted by Truballer328 View PostNo my car doesn't speed up. With it replaced/tightened car picked up much better, but then again mine is a 5-speed - and I removed the PS beltOriginally posted by Truballer328 View PostCbr-dee--- I get a squealing when the car is cold at the beginning, when I first turn on the a/c. Then it goes away. Very briefly.
