ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

1990 Honda Accord Ex Automatic Transmission

Hello I just have a question about the transmissions in the cb7s. When I'm cruising in my car then I let off the gas then try to reaccelerate its almost like my transmission plays catch up like the rpms have to go up to where they were then it like catches almost like a hesitation in the transmission maybe? The problem never happens at all from take offs this only happens when I take my foot off the gas for a few seconds then reaccelerate I know my car has 208k miles on it but is this normal for these cars? Please note that somebody I know with a 1993 HONDA ACCORD EX has the same thing but its not nearly as bad as mine on the 93 its just slight and the car has 190k. Thank you in advanced to anyone who helps.

    Could be slipping.
Is your D4 light flashing? That would indicate a TCU error code, which would greatly help in narrowing down the problem.

At what speed does this happen? When you let off the throttle, the transmission may shift up (if not already in 4th) and rpm will drop or the torque converter may lock up (rpm will drop about 300). When you push the accelerator again, the transmission may then shift down (or the torque converter unlock) causing the rpm to increase until you get to a steady throttle position again. Along with checking codes (if any), is the fluid level good? Has the fluid been changed at all?

The fluid was recently changed a few weeks ago as preventive maintenance as I've put 31k on the car since I owned it and used oem fluids. I think I notice it more so around 40-50 mph maybe when i'm slowing down around a intersection then I re accelerate and it does it I mean the rpms don't go high but i'll have to check it again later today to see if when this happens it's shifting up also the fluid level is right at the full line. Would it help any to adjust the transmission cable? I will have to see if it does it later today though I haven't been noticing it it shifts fine when going from take off and sometimes it has a hard downshift but as do many other automatic cb7s I've been in.
