ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Just because the pump is running doesn't mean that there's enough pressure to run the engine.

My original pump had a audible whine when running but would only put out about 20 psi (enough to run the engine, but not well). But, even with this weak pump, it moved a LOT of fuel when the rubber feed line was disconnected and the pump run.

i have just put in new fuel pump and i have gas flow now directly from that line that connects to fuel filter,i also hooked up fuel pressure test after new fuel pump install i hooked up to the outlet with a 14mm bolt on fuel rail when i took off bolt there was fuel coming out of fuel rail but when i did pressure test during priming and when engine is cranking over there was still 0 pressure and still no start with new fuel pump

If you're getting fuel to the rail but not to the cylinders, it's possible that your injector resistor box has failed.

It's also possible that one of your new parts is bad. Never discount the possibility that a new part can be faulty. I've seen people pull their hair out and go broke because they refused to suspect a potentially faulty new part!

Clamp the return line from the pressure regulator, then recheck the pressure when the pump is running. If the pressure is in the 60 psi range, then your pressure regulator is probably bad.

went to the scrap yard today and pulled three injector resistor boxes and still no start would it be a bad idea to pull fuel rail of with injectors attached and crank it over to see if they're spittin?

Be sure to cover all sensitive things, including yourself, and anything painted. I'm not sure how far it'll shoot! Be sure you're out in the open, with nothing that could ignite the fuel. But yeah, it's worth a shot. Never heard of anyone doing it that way. I'd be curious to see the outcome. It'll definitely show what injectors are firing.

Better rig up a way to keep the injectors clamped to the rail, otherwise (if you have pressure) it is liable to pop all the injectors out of the rail and then you'll really have a mess and a FIRE HAZARD.

Did you check if you have pressure with the return line clamped?

You can take the injectors out and hook power and ground to each one you can hear if they are clicking or not

hello everyone who has been helping me get through to the source of my crank and no start situation.... I HAVE SOLVED THE ISSUE!!!!! i had my car towed down to work and not even two minutes of it being in the garage and being swarmed but all my fellow techs that were wondering why the hell i couldn't get it started this whole time we had it started. the IACV that plugs into the injector rail to power injectors had corrosion and was not getting any power because of this. simply cleaned corrosion plugged in and she fired right up
thanks for all the reply's and help!!
