ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Power antenna???

I didn't see anything there that looked like a power antenna, but the first video didn't work for me. The power antenna motor is located directly below where the antenna comes out of the quarter panel on the left side of the trunk. There is about a 8 inch tube from the quarter panel down to the motor, which is about 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. There is a bracket on the bottom of the motor that has a small stud that protrudes through a vertical brace low on the left side of the trunk. Left side of the image below:

Yeah I set my phone next to the power antenna moter because I heard a noise what sounded like it was coming from the trunk

Was I supposed to listen to the noise? There are two different noises a motor typically makes (besides some whirring and clicking when it works correctly that you probably shouldn't be able to hear from the driver seat). A "clunk, clunk, clunk, ..." noise is the clutch inside the motor assembly slipping because there is too much resistance in raising or lowering the antenna. A lighter but higher frequency chatter is the teeth on the mast drive belt (actually a flexible plastic rod) slipping on the drive gear of the motor assembly. This is normally caused by wear of a pin inside the assembly that keeps the belt engaged with the drive gear.
A little more explanation of what you're asking about would have been helpful.Last edited by Fleetw00d; 03-14-2016, 12:06 AM.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

Does your antenna work at all? Go up and down partially?90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

If it runs at all, it may be able to be rebuilt. Is the aluminum down tube still intact or is it very corroded where it goes into the motor assembly? A new mast can be had for about $25 (Bridgewood Motor Sports); I've had very good experience with their masts. Unless you really want the antenna to work, you may be able to get a fixed antenna used on the DX models or aftermarket stub antenna. There are aftermarket power antennas; but I don't know that any of them have a good reputation.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450
