ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Is item 1 the "cover" you're talking about? Item 20 look like the pins you're talking about? Know if any of the seals at that end of the engine have ever been replaced?

He him no t trying to get extra posts but I'm reading your q's after I post the reply but no it's a maybe 1 1/2 inch pin with no threads on it not sure exactly what the thing is for but I'm guessing it goes on that cover somewhere because it's missing some fasteners or something of the sourt

But that is the cover you say the fluid is leaking from the bottom of?

What is the diameter of the pin? I can't think of anywhere a pin that long is used. 20 is not the pin you're talking about, but are some of #20 missing for the lower cover?

Yes there are empty wholes in that cover so I'm sure there are pins missing as far as the pin in trying to explain it just fell out one day I heard it hit the floor I figured wherever it came from it was there for a reason but couldn't figure it out it didn't seem to affect the car at all so I just left it alone...maybe I need to recheck under the car to see if I can better pinpoint the leak but I'm sure it's trans fluid tho

Figure out how many of those bolts you are missing and get them from a salvage yard or they are still available from Honda. If that cover is not bolted down it will wear against the back of the pulley or the belts.

I don't understand how transmission fluid can get all the way over there. Just thinking out loud: Is there trans fluid on the transmission where the axles go in? The left axle will tend to fling it all over the back of the engine. Do you park with the left side of the car down where it could run along the lip of the oil pan to the left side of the block?

Is there a lot of fluid on the inner axle boot or even on the axle shaft?

yes that is the cover and I'm thinking that bolt I'm speaking of the threaded head might have snapped off because it doesn't make any since to have a smoothed screw holding anything together

So the pin has a hex head (10 mm), but no threads? Is #19 missing on the upper timing cover?

ill have to look under the car again maybe clean it up a little more to see but that cover was the first thing I seen with fluid dripping from and it seemed to be in the same spot that I notice it when its on the ground...thanks for the advice

Did you happen to check you Power Steering Fluid level??

That could be a possible leaking point. Because technically the Power Steering Pump is somewhat over top of the timing belt..
I had a problem with leaking Power Steering Fluid a while ago.
