ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Hadsys rc17s compressor compatibility with LX Accord

Hi guys, recently I bought a hadsys rc17s compressor from a 93 SE Accord, my car is 92 LX with denso compressor. Looking both (denso and hadsys) I noticed that them are different. But, the "good" part is that I have all accord's SE A/C hoses, and the bracket (that's different too.)żIs there any way to put a SE Hadsys compressor in my LX accord? Any help is so appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the brands, but I'd say if it's made for a 90-93 accord and all the connections are the same, you should be good to go.

Hadsys rc17s was only for 93 EX SE accords, so I'm not sure if it'll fit in my 92 LX

If you have all of the hoses that connect to the condenser and evaporator and the correct bracket, you should be ok to use the Hadsys unit in your CB. The other parts of the system are common to the Denso system.

Mine was damaged due to a rude driveway and I was unable to find the OEM part. The best I came up with was this: https://www.superdriveusa.com/. It was a loittle more than I wanted to spend, but the car looks much better overall.

You're right there are two different types of compressors. Not all 90-93 Accord compressors are the same. And there is no rhyme or reason for which compressor. There two different compressors (Hadsys and Denso). And then there are two different types of units under the dash. So there are FOUR different sets of hardlines.

              1. Hadsys with ABS (pad type line connection at the firewall)
              2. Hadsys without ABS (threaded line connection at firewall)
              3. Denso with ABS (pad type line connection at the firewall)
              4. Denso without ABS (threaded line connection at firewall)

I just switched my whole system from Hadsys to Denso. Even with a new Denso compressor ($180 on Amazon) and new hardlines ($200), it was cheaper than the one place I found a rebuilt Hadsys for $450. Plus the Denso is better.

So yes, you can go from Denso to Hadsys on your car. The line going on top of the radiator will be about 3" too long. Be prepared to change the lines all the way to the firewall if you want a perfect OEM fit.
