ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

also everyone and their mom has a swapped h22 accord.. if people say i have a H22 in my accord i walk away.. big deal you don't know enough about cars so you have to swap to a motor that makes 200 crank hp... congrats! you want a cookie? only thing i do like is if people actually do more than i/h/e h22.. i'll give you props. build the f22a up, be different. what is it now $2000 for a complete set up h22?? $2000 would almost get you a built f22a motor that would smoke the shit outta a dropped in h22. IMO its up to whatever you want tho.. sorry i'm just sick of seeing h22 swapped accords.. its just as bad as "i have a b-series in my civic" cool! i've never seen that before! hahahahaha...HAN - ZiviCase10287

true that man you dont even sound like a noob and yes longer gears are better for turbo, specially in an h22. think about it like this f tranny goes out of vtec with h22, but only goes to like 4800 rpms, at 4800 rpms, your turbo is spooling like mad already. you want to keep going.Originally posted by sickocb7im not a NEWB!!!!! why cant i just post in the other forums!!!!! its not like im gunna whore it up with useless post like im in here!!!

No FI experience with an F22, but I do enjoy the long gears. Good for DD, and like you said, just letting it wind up. Short gears would be fun sometimes, but all that shifting would piss me off on my daily journeys.Originally posted by RoCknRicEr037i love the gears on the f22 they are great for winding out if you got some boost under your ass or just daily driving.
Anywho, my guess is the OP was looking more for 160hp at the wheels.
Best bang for my money, I'm going with an H23 IM plus bigger intake pipping, filter, and CAI. I may get all new exhaust from the block back whenever my current exhaust rusts out. Also a PT6 ECU to go with the IABs of the H23 IM. That's all I plan on doing unless I get something free or dirt cheap.Opal Metallic Green '92 LX 2dr manual, 181k miles, '94 prelude VTEC wheels for summer (steelies with snow tires for winter), Omni-power struts/springs, and other junk

Well believe it or not my sohc f22a3 is 9.8 cr. and it pushes 150 hp stock. Well it would be nice to dyno it to see what whp it's got.. I wonder if an SRI, iridium plugs and a better exhaust would push it to 160whp..Originally posted by d112crzyare you serious? 9.2 is nothing. where you should start worrying is above 10.5.
either way, the f22b1 is NOT 9.2 cr. its 8.8, just like all other f22 sohcs.

if you want to be fast, you will get shorter gearing, period.
and long gears suck my right nut.
people who say longer gears are better for boost don't know much... i dunno who told you that joke... it may feel faster but when your holding boost in 3rd gear and another guy is in 4th gear back down in his powerband you'll look up and realized you just got smoked!HAN - ZiviCase10287

BULLSHIT!
longer gears are better, think about it. the more a turbo spools up the more power you get if you shift you lose your spool and have to rebuild boost. at 6500rpm lets say your boosting 8 pounds, now you shift down to 4500 rpm and your only boosting 2 pounds. looks like you just lost a lot of boost assholes
and further more i raced an srt-4 in my h22 accord and evertyime he shifted i pulled ahead by 4ft, then he would start spooling and pull ahead of me. but guess waht. HE HAD TO SHIFT. and since i have an F tranny thats long, I DIDNT. I hit vtec in 3rd while he shifted and lost boost and when he spooled again it wasnt enough to pull back ahead of me and i won.]
