ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Help..... Asap!!!

Ok, earlier today I was driving to work normally and then out of nowhere when I stopped at a light everything was normal. But when the light changed to green, I went to speed up but nothing was happening. So I switched to N then back to D4 and it engaged, so I was like ok no biggie, just a glitch. WRONG!!! After about 10 secs of good acceleration, it joggs like it cant shift out of first. So I tried shifting to N and back to D4 but nothing happened. When I came to a stop with my hazzards on I tried to accelerate again, but nothing was happening. Its like I have to let my car sit for like 1-2 minutes for my tranny to get any movability, is it low fluid or is it my torque coverter going out???

possible tranny. if your s light is flashing or your check engine light is on, I would check the codes first before saying that it is the trans.

OK that for sure I can tell you never came on at all during the time of my problems. Gonna have to use that code DIY thing I saw somewhere in the threads to check to see if it throws anything, but I havent seen anything else come on during the problems so yeah..............

Ok, just drove my car home just now, everything was fine, but I guess after the tranny case warms up a bit, it starts to slip. I check the fluid before I started to leave and its full so that is fine. ANyone have any idea's, Module, transfer case going out, shift positioner,...........anything???

Sounds like its time for a tranny swap.

It happened to me not too long ago, so I did a 5-speed swap.

most likely a trans problem. if no codes, then you would be safe to replace the tranny.

Ok just did the check for codes right when I got home from work, and it threw a 31 on the ECU and 14 & 15 on the TCM so...........

              ECU:
31 means its the A/T FI Signal B high/low input, defective AFSB line, not sure what that means but ok.

              TCM:
14 Linear (line pressure control) solenoid open or shorted, Clueless

15 Kick down switch circuit shorted, yet again clueless

Now anyone wanna help me out with this, I need my car up and running soon, got a few meets to attend to, and a dyno run to do to determin my current baseline before any mods. I never had any a/t fail on me except this one(owned about 5 of them, excluding this one), and same goes for m/t(never had a failure, always replaced clutch in due time).

code 15, if your tranny is acting wierd, most likely it is a mechanical problem. if your tranny is not acting wierd, then it is an electrical problem. so it sounds like you have a machanical problem. replace your trans to start. also for code 31, and the other one, it all sounds related to eachother. save your self the hassle of finding the problem, I advise you to replace the tranny. to start. anyone else has any suggestions before he goes replacing the tranny??

ok heres the deal,, all 3 of those codes will are connected.. most likely only one of them is bad thus making the others not work properly thus throwing 3 codes,, whitchever sensor it goes to first is robly your problem,, 31 i think.. i am nt sure but i think thats it.

the auto tranys will tend to slip when the tourqe converter goes out because it causes the tranny to over heat especially if it drive it hard alot

that is why it seems more like a line pressure problem instead of a solenoid or valve issue. if that torque conv. is messed up, most likely it spit some metal particles into the tranny already causing it to throw all those codes.
