ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

maintenance. just helping you out. But personally I have ridden on cut springs in my civic. It aint no tien suspension but its free like f22hb said. I have also ridden on blown struts and its fine once you get used to it. So good luck with what ever you decide to do.

It is your car and you live in america. You can do whatever you want.lol
You shouldn't make mods if the mods are poorly thought through and turn the car into a potential death trap.

I'm not saying do this or that because I am not naive and in the end people will do what they want. You can't force anyone to do anything, unless you got a gun to their head.

I've had one personal experience with cut springs checking out a club member's suspension for him. I went to jack up the rear end to get under and inspect, before he could warn me once the tires left the ground, the cuts springs I did not know about unseated themselves and clanked against the shock.

To those considering cutting springs for lowering, simply lowering a car will improve cornering, I have proved that through personal experience comparing a stock restored suspension cb7 to a properly lowered cb7 to my white cb7 with about every suspension mod you can think of. The properly lowered cb7 did corner better than stock with less body roll, but nothing like my white cb7 with basically every suspension mod that had NO body roll.

However, the fact those cut springs unseated themselves with tires jacked up off the ground, as stated in the situation above, is proof there ARE conditions you will have problems in and it WILL be a safety concern. Remember there are many conditions where ride and handling come into play and just because you feel alright in one, doesn't mean you will succeed in the other. A good suspension setup encompasses all driving conditions. Make sure you are aware of this is all I'm saying.

Make your decision an intelligent one.
