    Possible plenum paint??

I've been cleaning and prepping my a6/h23 IM for the swap, and I think I might keep this as my plenum:

I intentionally sprayed it heavy to get the dark thick color in the pooled areas. I think I'm going to do the VC and SRI to match.

Any opinions? (I know there are going to be opinions. )

I like the color, but I think I'll strip it and reshoot it. I think I can get a more 3d marble look to it. Something more like this:

JDM AMBER FTW!!! Nah, I'm going for something that compliments the cappucino. I think it'll look nice and subtle. I'm trying to find a way to darken my aluminum pieces without painting them. We have an aluminum ice cream scoop that's darker than pewter. I want to do a dark colored bay. This was just a can of transparent amber I had laying around from when I did the lights.

Would you only do it to the plenum, or also to the runners?

Just the plenum. I just don't want to mess with smoothing the runners down and they'll be pretty hidden behind the fuel rail and everything else anyway.

It's cool. I'm not terribly excited by the script Honda logo you're rocking either.

lol but mine doesnt look like a baby made it in its diaper

just joking, it's just an opinion, shouldnt matter if you really like the way it looks.

I just changed a baby. It didn't look anything like the plenum! It's cool. if I built my ride based on everyone else's tastes, I'd be accord=inspire?.

It'll look better when I redo it. You probably still won't dig it, but that's cool, too. I do dig your grille though, except for the script Honda. I don't know why that style logo bugs me though, it always has.

I hope it does, that speedform is done with alsa crazer paint, specially designed to do this. Mine is some quick work with a can of smoke over the bare aluminum, which I then plastic bagged, and then many heavy coats of clear amber over the top of it. I was just dicking around with it and liked the look, but not necessarily the finshed product I had. It will definitely look nicer when I do it again.
