    Lip refinishing tips/tricks

I would like to clean up my Legend lip and my other plastic moldings a bit, so that they don't look so old. Anyone have any tips or tricks that I can do to help clean up my plastic? I'd like to keep the original black plastic and I'd really like to stay away from sanding and repainting.

get some semi gloss black rattle can paint and paint it, or get some clear coat paint, which works best if u clean it off real nice.

Is there any way I can go without painting it? I like the look and texture of the original plastic, but I'm just not diggin' the sun fade

Mothers Back-to-Black works alright, but you're gonna have to apply it over and over again. It's quite oily, and will pick up dust and small debris.

i use tire shine on lips, moldings, and sideskirts. It lasts about 2 weeks but they do look better!

This is what i use, and it gives a DEEP, GLOSSY black.
I used Mothers back to black, and it is nothing, compared to this.

This product is thick (when cool) so it is a little more jelly and more control-able when you apply it.

be careful around your paint tho and don't hold it in one spot too long

i dont know why alot of you guys are saying tire shine, Mothers Back-to-Black or Duplicolor trim paint. i use SEM TRIM BLACK and it works great. easy to apply looks just like brand new oem flat black.

So I was doing some research and I came across some site promoting some kind of trim dye in a Youtube.com video saying that it'll last for years and it's safe on paint. Anyone do this or have heard of anything like this?

use the heat gun, that person linked a video that i linked a couple months back. the heat gun will definitely bring your bumper trim back to factory black, as long as you apply the heat properly. no need for chemicals, just pick up a cheap heat gun from a tools shop and youre good to go!

So, I just went out and got a bottle of McGuiar's trim detailer, and that stuff is AWESOME!! Look for yourself!

                            Before....

                            After....

And I did all the trim on my car and it came out beautifully...
