    molding/trim adhesive?

Some of the rubber molding/trim on my car is starting to come off, so I was wondering if there's a way to fix with some kind of adhesive. If so, what's the best adhesive/glue to use? I've attached a couple of photos:

Something like that, I might use some clear marine grade silicone. Just squirt a bead of it inside the molding, and press and hold it in place. Should be set and dry within 24 hours.

Or, I'd just remove it. That is not the factory installed molding. The factory one stops at the quarter panel gap and does not continue down the bumper like yours does. Those moldings are just rust makers because they trap water and moisture in them.

Clean the existing adhesive off as best you can, then use some thin 3M double sided tape. I did this on my wagon.

As mikey indicated, factory trim stopped at the bumper cover; that may be why you had a problem, the cover can move some relative to the quarter panel, so it will tend to pull at the trim.

Like Mikey said, "Rust Makers" those are.
Personally, I would take them off and clean up the glue/mess.<Maybe try that Turtle Wax Adhesive remover on it??
Plus those things just make your wheel gap look even worse.

I just removed my OEM trim from the rear arches, wish I had earlier, water holding P.O.S.
