Unknown shift boot *source

Found this in the trunk of a civic at the junkyard. So I picked it up for a dollar and I really like the look and feel of it.

Anyone know where it's from?

It looks like a Geo Metro shift boot, IMO. Comparing it to a quick image search on Google shows the similarity, but it's not exactly the same. Maybe from a different generation, or different model entirely.

I looked up the metro boot and I see the similarities as well. The only differences are: the one i have has a chrome bezel ring around the top and it has a more rectangular shape like the stock cb7 boot.

I owned a 91 Mazda mx-6 gt Turbo that had the same boot. They also came in the early 90's Camry v6
