Rear bumper

Hey all, I need some help. I have the usual Honda rot on the rear wheel wells and my bumper is falling off as a result. I have used tape in the past to hold it up, but really hate the look of it. I then tried some JB Weld which works great for a little while but cracks and the bumper sags again. I am looking for a more permanent fix. Any suggestions?? What have you all done to cure this aside from extensive body work. Pictures of your fixes are welcome. Thanks for any advice/help. dc

You could get some pieces of sheet metal roughly the size of the quarter panel section hidden by the rear bumper (or enough to overlap the good parts of what is left of yours), shape them to match the profile, install them over the rusted area with auto body panel adhesive (3M 08115), then drill and file the square holes needed to mount the black plastic brackets for the front ends of the bumper cover.
