    Interchanging Trunk Lids?

So I have 2 different trunks I'd like to use on my car; the 92-93 coupe trunk with the SE coupe spoiler, and a 92-93 sedan trunk with the EDM rear garnish + tail light. I'd like to be able to switch between the two, but I can't think of an easy way to make that happen.

One idea I had was to use trunk pins for one, so I wouldn't have to worry about the latch and release cable for it, but then the pins would always be there.

Sorry if the title was kind of confusing, I didn't know how to word it better.

Not sure what you mean by pins - like hood pins to hold it down? Please don't put holes in the trunk lids. If I was going to swap often, I think I'd cut the wiring harness and put a connector in line to allow the wiring to stay with the trunk lid and just unplug/plug when changing lids. The pull cable isn't too hard to run to and from the latch. Get both lock cylinders keyed to work with the same key.

Yeah, they're similar to hood pins but they have a latch design I've seen used that looks decent. I'd like to avoid that though since I'd rather not put holes in my trunk like you said.

As for making a connector to use, I could see a problem arising from the fact that one trunk has an LED spoiler and the other doesn't. I'm not sure if there would be a way around this.

I think the spoiler connects within the harnesses on the trunk lid (it jumpers in at one of the corner tail lights I think), so a connection where the harness goes from the car to the trunk lid is still the same.

Haha no can do. Took me quite a while to find it. Just keep checking the classifieds here, they tend to pop up once in a while.

Hmm I'll have to check. The car's in storage right now, but I'm heading down tomorrow so I'll check to see where it connects.
