the decals should come sandwiched between 2 paper layers, one should be thick the other see thru. peel them apart, the decal should stick to the see thru side, CLEAN THE GLASS WELL and line it up and stick one edge on, and move across with a stiff credit card. make sure its on as well as you possibly could get it, cuz once u start peeling off one of the corners of the paper layer, it might pull off the decal with it. if it does, put it back down and card it some more, and maybe start peeling from a different corner.
thats how i did my window decals, im guessing it would be the same for applying to paint.

Re: how to install decals?
to play it safe, spray the area w/ a soap and water solution. peel the back layer off, lay on the decal. the solution helps you move the decal around so you can make sure its where you want it. then use a credit card to push the water bubbles out, peel off the top layer and you're done.Originally posted by green cb7

Re: Re: how to install decals?
That's how I did mine, I used a ton of soapy water..it gives you a few extra minutes to fine tune the placement of the decal before it sets up. If you can get a hold of a flexible plastic putty knife, that works really well too, and if you get stuck with any bubbles you can't get out, just hit it with a pin and go back over it, the pinhole will let the water out, but won't be big enough to be visible.Originally posted by PRIMOCB7
