Plug the button up and see if you get power coming from whatever wiring you say there is in the roof. If you have power, then you're good to go. Now all someone needs to find is a cookie cutter the size of a CB7 sunroof. Oh, Mike, do you really need those handles in the back? I hate to talk big but I would definitely be the first to try to put a sunroof in...but I have an EX. I never have it open, but the shade is always back.

you dont really NEED the handles in back.. but the LX has deep holes already made for the handles. so if u remove the handles, the hole is still there... which takes up space that the sunroof needs. so u would probably end up needing the EX headliner... which comes with the handles... so ud end up having handles anyway.

i guess plans are changing for me now, because im buying an EX very soon... so i dont get to try installing one... but before i sell the LX, ill get to compare the two

Went to the junkyard today...they had a blue 92 Lx a la cpmike...tore out the headliner...saw nothing but bare metal...there were bars that ran the length of the roof parallel to each other, under where the rain gutters on the roof (outside) would be, but there were no apparent crossmembers that a sunroof would bolt into, nor any sort of markings indicating where the cutouts would be for the sunroof on the outer roof skin...I think this would end up being a ridiculously expensive project to pull off involving a lot of custom fab work...and wouldn't be something worth doing on a car like this....

I'm officially throwing in the sunroof add in towel

Now one of the things I wanted in my first car was a sunroof. It was all cool and trendy at first...but now it's just kinda there. It takes a slight bit of rigidity from the car as well as giving you maaaaaad sunburn. I just usually keep the thing closed. Do it if you wish. But for the same cost you could be saving for an H22 or a turbo...

Sorry to dig up an old thread. but my 91 LX has an OEM style power sunroof. The buttons are on the headliner in front of the sunroof, instead of on the dash. It has options for open and vent(flip-up). I'll get pics as soon as I can steal someone's camera.

I had an EX before my LX I have now... and I like the looks of the car exterior wise without the sunroof. Inside is a completely different story....
