    Accord Nomad

So I was sitting here at home board cause Its my day off and the wife is at work.

I started playing with the magna car pictures. I love my car but I like 2 doors and lately I started liking the lines of a wagon. Also a wagon would be good to haul the dog around with out getting the seats dirty These things coupled with the desire to be different got me thinking like a hot roder. In 57 the solution was the Chevy Nomad. So I made one out of a magna car picture. I like the way it looks.

I posted it here because was curious if it would be possible to convert a coupe to a nomad using a coupe and wagon shell? Kind of like cutting the trunk off and using the rear of the wagon shell.

Maybe you guys that are better than me at photoshop can use pictures of real cars to see what it would look like?

Alright all you body guys and mad scientist! What do you guys think?

Actually, I believe the user Mike photoshopped Oneoffaccord's car to look like what you're describing.

    Definitely a neat idea.

        a Nord.

anyway i guess if you took the rear window and trunk out and cut along the roof, c pillars, and the quarter panels of the coupe, and did the same to a wagon, you could probably weld it in. itd take some good body work to blend it in and fill in all the gaps, since the wagon rear end is different. the interior would be partially custom i guess, by putting some wagon parts in and doing some custom stuff to fill in the gaps. anythings possible...

i dont think it would work that easily. i think the c pillars on a wagon are different than on a coupe. I'm pretty sure that because of the hatch that the c pillars on a wagon dont taper to the top as much as a wagon. also, thered be the rear gate nightmare. its doable though im sure, with enough time. I always wanted to take a wagon and make a mini truck out of it. i thought thatd be cool too.

I was thinking about cutting off the whole back section along the red lines.

That would solve a lot of the gate problems and you could use wagon rear carpet and panels in the back. if wou needed to you could streach the section after the coupe side windows to get it to look right.
I am sure you would have to compinsate for the added weight. An H22 for go and the wagon brakes to stop should do it.
If you really wanted to get crazy with it wou could do a mid engine rear wheel drive and show of the motor through the back glass

Thats really an AWESOME idea. I have always liked the looks of the Accord Wagons and have always wished that they made a coupe version. I was just thinking instead of chopping just the trunk are rear windshield area what if the cut was right behind the front doors and attached the entire rear section of a wagon? I dont know how sturdy the frame would be but I was just thinking that might be a little better looking. Would take a lot of Welding and modification to the undercarriage. I would deffnatly drive it though! Just my two cents worth...

That looks sweet Thanks for sharing it. I wish I had the time and skill to be able to make it real. I am collecting pics of coupes andwagons now to try and shop a profile of one. Might be eaiser to draw it out by hand though. At least for me.
