    can't keep trunk lid open

I have a sedan trunk on my coupe cb7 and I also have a GD2000 Black Widow Wing on. But I have been having a problem keeping it up becasue it weights some much. I didn't know if anyone has tried a trunk shock system on their cb7, or if there is an electron trunk opener that will work for it. I know that certant 94-97 accords have the trunk shocks with them and I didnt know if anyone has tried doing something on this line.

When an Accord came with a rear wing or the dealer installed one, one of the parts included were stronger trunk springs to open/hold on the trunk. I don't think the channels/grooves in the trunk around the opening are large enough to contain a gas strut assembly.

That's really interesting that the 96-97 doesn't have it. I swear when I was in the junkyard awhile ago I saw a 94-95 Accord with the Trunk struts. Stupid Honda changing so many minor things year to year.

I got that same heavy trunk problem, exept mine is heavy because its covered in 2 layers of Dynomat Extreme.

I kinda like it and suggest you keep it like that. its a nice surprise for other people who snoop around too long trying to see what you got in your trunk..... and then WHAM heavy trunk to the back of the head... LOL
for yourself get one of those extendable canes its a nice prop and comes in handy wen you can't find parking

ofcourse i'm handycaped officer I haven't recieved the placard yet and why else would i walk around with this ugly old man cane.

One reason is the GD BW wing weighs like 40 pounds alone... with mine I could just pull the trunk lever and it wouldn't open it up.. but it would unlatch it so I could pull it up.

I never had a problem with mine, but if you go to a junk yard get some of the spring things for a trunk lid w/ a spoiler.
