i've seen the pspec short shifter setup, but on their website it only shows the that they have the setup for 97-01 prelude and 98-02 accord...

did they discontinue the cb7 shifter, or are do you have to convert to the prelude shifter assembly?

and question, an RSX knob should thread in, right?

they discontinued them for our cb, yep you will have to get the prelude shifter assembly to convert to either a forbidden or pspec

You'll need to take out all of the screws for the center console. Look underneath it around where the shift boot is and you should find like 4 screws or so and take them out. There should be a plastic piece just underneath the shift knob that you have to squeeze to get it so separate from the knob. Mine didn't have this and instead had a zip tie holding the boot onto the knob so I just had to cut it. Hopefully this helps you out some.
