Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

DO you want the sarcastic answer that makes you feel like a noob, or the honest answer that makes you feel like a noob?

Either way, the outcome is NO, simply changing the ECU and running a few wires will not give you an f22a SOHC VTEC.

I was telling him what he needs to do after putting an F23 vtec head on his F22 in order to have the vtec functioning

          Sorry about the confusing post

I also noticed that I said "you need an ECU that can control vtec",
To avoid any confusion, I should correct myself: "you need the ECU that was designed for your engine!"
If you don't plan on having a professional tuner TUNE a chipped ECU for your setup, do not run anything besides the stock ECU for your motor!

What do you have in your accord now? F22a4? If you are really looking to save "pesos" you can do the budget a6 conversion. Just go to the yard and find you a wrecked EX or 93SE and take the a6 manifold, ecu and I believe the camshaft is different as well. Some people just say fuck the camshaft and swap just the intake manifold and ecu. You can do this yourself in 30-45minutes time with the right tools.

The butterfly manifold isn't a drastic upgrade but it does feel good when you accelerate and "feel" them open up when you get on it. It doesn't have a v-tec like pull but it's noticeable and you hear a more slight throatier intake noise.

I was going to do this to my sisters 93 prelude S F22a1 but alas it got stolen by some asshole.
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

I have a question for everyone that is downing the F23.

You anyone of you seen flow numbers for the f23? I've seen some dyno sheets that have definitely impressed me even on a stock cam.

I know the F22B1 head flow like crap becuase I've seen shitty dyno graphs and I've seen flow numbers.

I'm gonna boost an F23 when my F22 blows up... IF it blows up. it should make a bit more torque on the same turbo setup. I just don't see the point in F23head on an F22

LOL, i didnt even realize this was a thread about swapping to an f23 head. I only read the 2nd page full of f23 hatred.

I wouldnt do an f23 head swap. More work than its really worth.
