Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

any ideas of why its idling so high?? Is it because of the butterflies being taken out? This sucks. after it was warmed up it didnt stay at 3000 anymore. it jumped from about 900 to 2600 rpms.

I was going to say throw in the plentum spacer and take out the butterflies. Seal up the holes and throw on an H23 Plentnum.... Instant difference on the throttle response and feels like it has a little more torque.

The plenum spacer is on. I took the butterflies out. That was it though. Just the butterflies. Everything in the spacer stayed. I can pick up and h23 upper plenum from my old job at the junkyard. Is there any other way to fix this? My check engine lights on now too

It is going to be a routing issue with the Vacume lines I think....

Have you tried cleaning and adjusting the iacv and fitv? Check all your vacuum lines as well.

You will have to look at a manuel for the H23 Plenum not the stock one.... Compare both manuals. Just to double check that all lines are being ran to the right place.

I wasn't flaming anyone's income with that. i was making it a point that not everyone has money to blow. He doesn't think that $190 is a lot to spend on the car part in question. I do. The reason is because he apparently makes a little more than double what i do a year. I made 11k last year and 12k the year before. And it doesn't look better in the near future.

But i see no way i could flame someone's income when mine is a fraction of theirs. Was it the F-bomb? because i have a habit of dropping those all the time.

Thanks guys. I plan on cleaning everything up tomorow. Go grab some carb and choke cleaner. I hope it works. I can't stand not driving my cb. And there's a guy that wanted to try racing me tomorow. The idle shouldn't make me throw a code though correct? The light just came on after about two mins of driving. Haven't pulled the code yet though.
