Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    horsepower

is it possable to get a F22A1 into the 350-400HP range. if it is let me know what all is needed to get it there. money is not a problem for me. i don't want to do a swap. i want to do something different, that's why i am sticking with the F22A1.

      1. full engine bulid-up (9.5-10:1 comp)
      2. good quality turbo and supporting parts (15-20 psi)
      3. knowledgeable engine tuner (chipped ECU or stand alone unit)
someone else add some if i left something out.

10k is crazy! Damn for that price I would swap in a h22, sleeve it and boost to well over 400whp... and still have money left over paint and a nice set of wheels. Good luck with that man.

400hp on NA F22 is gonna take a hell of a lot of work.....and that is w/o spray........so 10k is not bad......yes turbo u can get higher hp numbers but the work involved is nothing COMPARED to NA setup imo. i mean common some turbo kits are like 3500 and only put on 50-100hp...... so 10k for almost 300 extra hp is not bad at all. i dunno lol....all i know is it will be alot of time/money/tuning to get that amt of power outta a f22 NA....but sooooo worth it and DAMN RESPECTABLE...i'd bow down b4 u

if you spend $3500 on a turbo setup and only get 75hp. you should shoot yourself in the face.

Really it's not to bad. I have a good suspension so that helps and the fact that I haven't really taken out on any really bad roads.

the turbo kits usually only add 75-100hp on average......and from what i c with all of u turbo guys....$1500 and u barely get over 220hp for the most part. well yea of course if your a smart buyer (aka have connections u can get shit cheap)....even with the Turbonetics and drag turbo kits your talking 3500 to get a 240-260hp car......Banks turbo kits add 60hp for 2k.....most if not all turbo kits are about $1500 for every 50hp..... you can of course upgrade the turbo to slightly increase hp/$ ratio......but even then....still alot of money. yes u can always piece together your system and maybe save a few hundred. i dunno w/e this is why i stick NA

The kit I put together with a t3/t4 turbo is going to push my car to well over 300whp if the stock sleeves and mahle pistons do their jobs and it cost me all of *gasp* $1,000. You could go out and buy a whole kit but why when its much cheaper to peice one together yourself.
