Im planning to get a header in the near future, but I can't decide which one to get. DC Sports or Megan Racing. Its for an F22A1.

I would love to see a side by side comparison of these headers, as I'm facing a similar dilemma.
Though I'm waiting to see this thread become another argue-fest. I went searching H-T, etc for data, but couldn't find anything. I Just found that DC wasn't good compared to the Hi-dollar pieces on a B16. I emailed Megan, but they were unable to provide me with a dyno for their header on an Accord.

wouldn't really say more "bang for the buck" although i currently have a Megan stainless steel header, and can't really complain about the pirce considering i paid $125 shipped when i first got it. but i doubt it gives out more HP over a DC header, if not the same at least. for a F22ax motor, great bargain for a stainless header. but for my H22, its on the way outOriginally posted by 92CB7accordmegan racing-more bang for the buck

I very strongly recommend AGAINST the Megan header.
I haven't had a DC header at all, but I just recently swapped in a JDM H22A and with it had a megan racing header installed. The header was fine for the first month but then the bracket on the downpipe blew off and the exhaust was leaking like crazy. I didn't install the engine nor the header, but when I got the second header in under warranty and went to a shop to get it installed, they said that it didn't fit properly at all which is why it ended up putting too much strain on the bracket and why it eventually snapped. They tried to put the new header on, but the top piece wouldn't even bolt up flush because the top flange was at a wrong angle and would cause the bottom flange to hit the block... so I had to mix and match, using the top piece from the original header, and the bottom piece from the warrantied header. Out of two headers that I've got from them, both of them haven't fit properly and I am definitely regretting it. I paid $150 CAD for the header originally from a distributor in Calgary (JDMWest.ca).
On top of this, I also ordered in a resonator and cat-back system from Megan Racing... the resonator bolted up perfectly to the back of the downpipe, but when the cat-back was installed, the S-pipe wouldn't meet with the tailpipe and had to be bent quite a bit just to match. Overall, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Megan Racing and wish I would have spent the extra money to get a proper exhaust system.
With having said that, I can't recommend DC because I haven't used a DC header, but I can only imagine it's better than Megan Racing.

Well first off a DC sports header are dyno proven for horse power gains and are what you call exact length headers so you are garranteed more power gains plus they are built way better and sound better.the megan racing header compares to apc and you cant spell crap with out apc. so if you are just looking for a little bling under the hood buy the megan faking i mean racing header but if you want the most for your money spend the extra money and get the dc sports header. But personaly i like thunder motorsports headers alot more they have thicker flanges and the "B" pipe is more of a down pipe and they have been proven for horse power gains between 7 and 15hp gains depending on the motor.

There are tons of Megan success stories on here. Maybe fitment problems vary between application or something. But im happy with mine, as far as dyno proven, we cant say either way yet. on the s2k the Megan picked up something like 7 whp I believe.

it depends on A) how much yer gonna want to spend....and B) how you hard you push the car.....if you have sumthin that gets you from point A to point B and on weekends point C.....then the megan header will prolly work for you.....but if you are constantly pushing your car then spend the extra cash and go for the DC header....ttyl bye bye.

What I meant was you get 1-2hp less then dc sports and your paying what somewhere around $200 less? Can't complain about that.Originally posted by PRIMOCB7wouldn't really say more "bang for the buck" although i currently have a Megan stainless steel header, and can't really complain about the pirce considering i paid $125 shipped when i first got it. but i doubt it gives out more HP over a DC header, if not the same at least. for a F22ax motor, great bargain for a stainless header. but for my H22, its on the way out

Megan has come up as a legitimate company in the last two years...some of their products (coilovers) are some of the best products on the market. Everyone wants teh "bling" of having a good name brand item but most of the time some of the less "blingy" companies are just as good. I think megan is one of those companies.
