Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Well AEM, Injen, and all those companies that make air intakes have a lil certification they give you so when you go to inspection it can be rated as legal. I know this applies in california. In Texas we can have air intake as when i have gone to get my car inspected no one has hassled me about the intake yet. Might want to check up with the locals and see what they say. Some people dont care some people do and some states its the law.

legality of any part is determined by your local laws. In many states you have to read pretty careully. For example some states may have something that reads "no alteration of emissions related components," which could technically mean that just about ANY bolt on part could be determined to be illegal.

CARB certification means that AEM or whatever company has paid to get certifications.
K&N filters are the best. Period.
They've been around since day 1...back in the good old days when MODing imports where K&N air filters, mufflers and CRAZY sound systems...*sigh* the good ol` days when everything was innocent...
