Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I have also read somewhere years ago that you can chip the Accord & Lude ECU's. However, chipping them is basically a waste of time compared to the Civic/Integra OBD1 ECU's.

Chipping a P06, P28, P72, P75...etc, etc is your best bet. Remember that you will require a tune after chipping the ECU. Be it a street tune or a dyno tune. Most base maps are just that. A base from which to start your tune from.

In a 93 EX? No... not if it's the original engine, and a US model... The USDM 92-93 EX have the F22A6.

The Integra GSR's P72 is also an option for tuning.

You won't see a huge gain from tuning an ECU if you don't have much done to your car. When you tune an ECU, you're optimizing it for the parts on the car. The ECU is already optimized for the stock engine from the factory, so the stock tune is as good as you're going to get. The F22A ECUs especially are tuned very well. The H22A's ECU is a bit rich, so you can gain a little by leaning that out a bit... but it's still not really enough to justify the time and effort to do it.
