Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I would really like to see the numbers of your setup, but in N/a form. Mine really isnt too much different.

You're running the S2S1 cams, and I have Blox type b's...basically S2S2's, and im running type s pistons...so im at 11:1.

    ready to see some vids.

was supposed to go on the dyno today, but idling it started leaking oil. Thinking it might be the crankshaft seal.

good luck! Hope you get that leak fixed.

I still get scared with a built motor. Hope your cams dont get chewed up like cpmike's and chrisisiced.

The skunk2 springs are a bit stiff.

Add some zinc in that oil to prevent wear.

was it the cams that got chewed up or the rocker arms?

Well the tuning is almost done. Weird thing happens though, if the vtec is engaged at anything below 7000rpm is looses power and anything above 7000rpm there is no real gain on the dyno I think it could be that the cams are too aggressive, or that the manifold doesnt flow enough. But I wont be switching out the cams this year, but next year I might do a test with the stock cams. Looks like it'll be making approx 370whp on a Mustang dyno

Sounds very weird on the cams to only have a gain after 7k. What psi are you at with the tune? Just enjoy the build until winter lol.

Just make sure frequently check the rocker arms and cams for wear.

                    Zinc is your new friend

Sorry should have elaborated, it does gain power after 7000rpm, but no additional power whether vtec is engaged or not

                          What manifold are you running?

I would say to swap the stock cams in and test, but I know it isn't on your to-do list right now.

if you check my MR you will see the manifold, it's sort of like a half-ram style. Switching up the cams will probably happen in the winter, just going to enjoy it for now

Car made 374.2whp and 298.1 ft/tq @ 14.8 psi with no vtec...not bad, but I want my vtec back and I have idea why it's acting the way it is. I'm thinking about some Skunk2 turbo cams.
