From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Just for you bro. Sorry if they are shitty cellphone pix but they should do for now. You can see the a6 bolt threads going in the normal areas and also the ports are lined up exactly the same with no overlap. Also last but not least the gaskets line up as they should.

I say forget the Nitrous Kit man.... if you can find a Jackson kit used I'd say hop on it and you can have a "nitrous feel" whenever u want by mashing the pedal! Keep an eye out on e-bay or call around to see if you can find new old stock on these chargers.

      Shopping for a FMHE

Shopping around for a FMHE (Front Mount Heat Exchanger) Talked to LHT earlier and I just need to get a stock intake manifold to send out to be modded. My boy Anthony is going to hook it up since mine is nowhere to be found....surprised the a6 manifold was still in the garage. I want a big enough FMHE like the Stillen one but also a unit that will fill the mouth of the accord nicely like a properly sized FMIC. Looked at various Cobras,Cobalts and 350z's and they look sick!

I think i might do a ricer thing and spray paint "EXR" or "CB7" up front to mimic the SVT Cobra heat exchanger lol. J/K

            Small update and Big Woes...

Car has been down for over 2 weeks. I finally decided to upgrade my stock radiator with a "bolt-in" Koyo Racing Radiator. I ordered a Blitz cap and the wrong was was sent to me... no biggie because I can use it for my heat exchanger that should be coming next week. 1 Week later I got a working cap.

I figured I will use Slim fans in the future and thought I'd just use the stock fans and shroud setup. OMG WTF! All I gotta say is that radiator was a B_#CH to get it! If I could do it all over again, I would've bought Slim fans.... but then again it would've have made a difference if I bought slim fans either because I had to notch the crossmember for the drain bolt! The damn stock OEM fans didn't fit all that great either and the passenger side fan lower mount was sitting right on the crossmember!

After 4hrs of cutting and test fitting, wiggling, cuts and sweat I finally got it in along with 2 new radiator hoses and thermostat. I'm really not happy with the fitment of the Koyo but I will be purchasing a traction bar later down the road so that should give me the clearance I really need for the drain bolt and fan shrouds.

Filled it up with 50/50 Prestone antifreeze and WTF! The heater line got jealous and decided to turn into a geyser while I was purging the system of air! Pissed I just left my car on jackstands and even didn't finish my oil change. Now I gotta order new Honda heater hoses... but if they don't have any in stock, I'm just going to wait until next week when I get my CX heat exchanger and buy some universal tubing to fix that problem.

To top that off, I found out my JDM p13 head is missing a tiny hex nut right behind the V-tec solenoid. When i picked up my radiator hoses at Honda I asked them if they could locate that part and it was nowhere to be found in their parts catalog or mechanic books. Is this a JDM only part? It's seeping a little oil. (It's also located left of the cam seal) Is there any other car that has this square hex nut? I noticed my built head is also missing this little nut. All I have is a orange plastic thing sticking out with small threads.

Pictures will be uploaded later when I get out of work.

Maybe someone with a USDM H22 can look to see if it is indeed a JDM-only part. There has to be some US equivalent to it if you can't find that one bolt! Or maybe evil_demon_01 can get access to the part at his dealership (in NZ, but they deal with Japanese models often, I believe.)

Not sure exactly what it is you are describing, but it sounds like a plug of sorts to an oil/coolant port maybe? You say its leaking oil, so I suppose I'd lean to that.

Anyways, if you see the same one by the cam seal pull that one and measure it. Test fit it where the missing one should be. If it threads in and is tight and not too long go buy a regular bolt/fastener with matching pitch thread and shaft length.

I have run into this a few times. I take what I need to Fastenal, hand it to the guy at the counter and just play stupid.

They usually produce what I need in like 2 minutes. Might take an allen wrench or torx bit or something other than the original fastener head. But it seals the port just as good.

Just below the intake cam seal to the left it looks like a plug for probably an oil passage.

I wonder if thats what hes talking about. Under the exhaust cam is the coolant passage plug I believe

You are awesome! Thanks for that picture! So that rules out my thoughts about this being featured only on a JDM Block. The honda technician couldn't find it in his carshop manual and the parts department couldn't find any description on it either. Now I need to see what it looks like in person whenever I get a chance to visit my boi's house when our schedules match up. Hopefully I can find this on some other Honda motor at the junkyard....

Well the car is running again to say the least.

Heater hoses have been replaced and I lucked out coz I took the dealers last stock! He said that basically i'm the only one that be taking his 4th generation misc parts nowadays. He joked and said he would give me a good deal on a new Honda Accord and I just said I love my classic better but will talk to him later if my car turns into a weekend only vehicle! The new Accord Sedan really looks like a identity crisis Genesis sedan/Maxima to me.

It didn't go too smoothly though... I drove my car to work the same night and the front wheels started feel like it would "skip like on a wet rainy surface" whenever I put the car under heavy load. Turns out my ECT sensor took a swim when my heater hose leaked so it was causing voltage issues confusing my ECU. When I would give the engine high load it would sound like it's knocking and the RPM/Speedo wouldn't go anywhere! I took the sensor out and found some of the leaking oil from the mystery plug and coolant inside the connector. I used some WD-40 and sprayed the sucker clean wala! good as new again!

Anyways here are some pics I've been lazy to post this past week.

This was the stupid cut I had to make just for it to clear the OEM fan. I didn't include pictures of the Drain plug but when I thought all was good.... I ended up having to cut a U shape just for the drain bolt to clear as well!

And last but not least... the CX Racing FMHE finally came in! I'm going to do some test fitting probably this weekend so stay tuned. Most likely it should fit just right considering it's a 2.5inch core when earlier I already made previsions for the 3inch core FMIC. I'm more likely going to plug the overflow port but we will see.

More to come! I just need my modified LHT intercooler and the major big things can happen.

                              FMHE Test fit

Had some "forced" spare time last weekend and had to mess with my civic power steering oil cooler again. Apparently it started leaking again since I noticed some steam coming near my drivers side foglamp when I get home every morning along with a burning smell. I took off my bumper and found that the Accord section of the line where I made my two cuts, one part of the line was slightly moving eventually pierced through the hose. Pulled out the dremel and made sure the edges were more rounded and secured the twist rings with a even more thicker O'Reiley universal tubing.

Since I had my bumper off I grew curious and wanted to see how much of the bumper I didn't need to hack away with the larger core 3" FMIC I purchased back in the day.

Well Apparently the fitment is good! although I wish I still retained more of my splash guard which could've shelved the FMHE more. For the test fit I took some zipties and literally hanged it from anywhere that would let me.

I took the FMHE off again and hopefully next weekend or when I get some more time I'll try to fab some brackets. I came to the conclusion that I'll probably rid the power steering altogether or relocate it further to the passenger side because the Accord hardline section of the power steering is still slightly in the way and will become a issue when I run the coolant hoses to my manifold intercooler.

Anyways enjoy! First CB7 FMHE pictures!

NOTE: Bumper was not screwed back on it's just hanging!
